Mr. Douglas J. Menne the current owner founded Vanguard Transportation Systems Inc. in 1981. Vanguard is a regional truckload carrier specializing in "expedited" freight. The home office is located in Cincinnati, Ohio, along with central dispatch for the van and flatbed divisions.
Vanguard has offices or agents located throughout our Central States operating area. With common, contract and broker authority our ability to provided safe expedited service at competitive prices is assured. With over 21 years experience we take pride in maintaining solid partnerships with our customers and driving associates. Vanguard views service as more than picking up or delivering a load. Service is a total commitment to everything trucking should be. As a result, we're not your low price leader, rather a leader in servicing high priority freight.
While we may travel in over 36 states our main lanes of traffic is concentrated in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Texas and Florida. Most van freight is "no touch". Vanguard has excellent balance between lanes so we keep our driving associates moving.
